The Indian standard for protective helmets for two-wheeler riders, certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Helmets sold in India for two-wheeler riders must carry the ISI mark.
DOT: FMVSS No. 218
The United States motorcycle helmet standard. Manufacturers certify their own helmets against it and mark them with the DOT label.
Look after your helmet
- Replace a helmet after any crash or hard drop, even if it looks fine.
- Fasten the strap on every ride.
- Clean it with mild soap and water; avoid solvents and paint.
Certification varies by model. Each helmet’s page lists the marks it carries.
